Advancing Techniques in Radiation Therapy
First awarded in 2008 to support Research in cancer care. Expanded to include Training in cancer care in 2014 and Implementation of new techniques and technology in cancer care in 2019.
Educational Conference Support
First awarded in 2016 with the 1st recipient attending the American Association of Physicists symposium.
Central Coast Cancer Centre Placement
Developed in partnership with the Central Coast Cancer Centre and first awarded in 2017.
The Scholarship supports a placement in an intensive short program developed by the Central Coast Cancer Centre which focuses on advanced radiation therapy techniques and applying them in a clinical setting.
Women in Leadership
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Health Sciences (Radiation Therapy) and first awarded in 2021. The Scholarship supports Female Radiation Therapy Students (any year) who have displayed potential as leaders in their field by providing support for supplemental education opportunities and associated expenses.
Rural Equity Scholarship
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Health Sciences (Radiation Therapy) and first awarded in 2021. The Scholarship provides Radiation Therapy Students (any year) from regional areas who have a demonstrated desire to return to a regional area to practice with support for home visits and associated expenses.
ASMIRT Continuing Education Scholarship
Developed in partnership with Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation (ASMIRT) and first awarded in 2021. The Scholarship provides a Radiation Therapist selected by ASMIRT with support for supplemental education opportunities and associated expenses.
Advanced Practice Skills Scholarship
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Health Sciences (Radiation Therapy) and first awarded in 2022. The Scholarship provides Radiation Therapy Students who have displayed outstanding academic abilities with support to complete courses such as MRI, Sterotactic and Complex Planning.
Pathway Scholarship in Cancer Care
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Medicine and first awarded in 2022. The Scholarship provides a 5th year medical student with some measure of educational disadvantage and a confirmed placement in cancer care with support for supplemental education opportunities and associated expenses.
Community Scholarship in Cancer Care
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Medicine and first awarded in 2022. The Scholarship provides a medical student (any year) with some measure of educational disadvantage and an interest in a future career in cancer care with support for supplemental education opportunities and associated expenses.
Scholarship in Oncology Nursing
Developed in partnership with University of Newcastle – School of Nursing and Midwifery and launched for 2023. The Scholarship provides a 1st year nursing student with some measure of educational disadvantage with an annual support payment for three years for supplemental education opportunities, clinical placements, and associated expenses.
